Where POS VELOCITY earns its keep.

We didn’t start with a slide about “verticals.” We started with real operators — cab fleets, kitchens, trades, back offices — and the specific, unglamorous jobs that keep them up at night. Here’s the work, industry by industry, and which product — or products — carry it.

Industry 01

Passenger transportation

Every fare split right. Every driver paid on time.

A cab or limo fleet takes hundreds of fares a day across dozens of drivers — cash, card, prepaid, voucher. At period-end someone has to work out what each driver earned, subtract their dues, sort the tips and surcharges, and actually move the money to their bank accounts. POS VELOCITY was born doing exactly this.

  • Configurable revenue splits between company and driver across debit, credit, prepaid, voucher, and cash
  • Separate handling for tips and surcharges, so nobody argues about the math
  • Dues sheets tracked per pay period through draft → preview → activate
  • Prepaid voucher capture (photo / scan) grouped automatically into invoices
  • One EFT run that pays every driver at once, straight to their bank accounts
  • Dispatcher with map zones, a price matrix, and live GPS on every device
  • Reports for payout totals, dues balance, transaction flow, and voucher deposits
The hard part was never taking the fare. It's the payout run at the end of the period — that's the part we obsessed over.

Industry 02

Retail & restaurants

One catalog. The counter, the web, and the curb.

A café at the counter, a store online, a truck at a festival — same menu, same taxes, same customers, three places to sell. The end-of-day still has to add up across all of it, tips included, before anyone goes home.

  • Chip, tap, and QR straight on the PAX terminal, cash recorded alongside — plus a Windows desktop POS station
  • An embeddable online store on your own domain, with pickup slots or delivery zones
  • One shared catalog with nested modifiers, units of measure, suppliers, and tags
  • Tip pooling reconciled automatically by role and hours worked
  • Multi-rate HST / GST / PST with effective-date rules baked in
  • SKU-level inventory with barcode scanning at the terminal
  • Automatic end-of-day: gross, refunds, voids, tax, tips, drawer variance, net to deposit
Hand your online orders to a marketplace app and it takes a slice, and keeps the customer. Here the order — and the customer — stay yours.

Industry 03

Field service

From quote to signature to paid — on the terminal.

A tech pulls up to a job, builds a quote from the catalog, does the work, snaps a few photos, gets a signature, and takes payment before driving to the next one. No paper, no “we'll invoice you later,” no chasing.

  • Full work-order lifecycle: quote → schedule → on-site (photos, notes, signature) → invoice → pay → reconcile
  • Scheduling and an agenda by day or by technician
  • Phone-keyed customer records with one-tap autofill
  • Sequenced, immutable invoices — audit-clean and CRA-ready
  • Tap / chip payment taken on the same PAX device that ran the job
The job and the payment live on one device, so nothing gets re-entered back at the office — and nothing gets lost on the way there.

Industry 04

Payment-heavy B2B

Bill the same people every month — automatically.

You invoice the same customers on a schedule, pay a roster of vendors, and run payroll. Done by cheque or manual transfer, that's a part-time job. On EFT it's a setting you configure once.

  • Named agreements with per-customer schedulers on daily, weekly, or monthly cadences
  • Collections to debit customers, deposits to credit them — one at a time or in batches
  • Customer self-onboarding by PIN-protected email invite — clients enter their own bank details
  • A secure, branded client portal with live status: Pending, Processing, Completed
  • Reports for monthly activity, collections, deposits, failed transactions, and agreement performance
  • A complete electronic record for reconciliation, tax reporting, and audit
Your customers watch every transaction in their own portal — no phone calls, no spreadsheets, no “did it go through?”

Industry 05

Multi-location & multi-operator

Many sites, many operators, one back office.

Managers should see their own store; owners should see everything. A price change should hit every terminal without a site visit. And when it's time to pay a dozen operators, it should be one file — not twelve envelopes.

  • Per-site data isolation with role-based access (admin, manager, cashier)
  • Catalog and tax changes made once in the back office and published out to the sites you choose
  • Consolidated reporting with drilldown to site, employee, terminal, and transaction
  • Multi-operator payouts and dues handled from one place
  • Per-site tax registrations, with the rate that applied kept on the transaction itself
Growth shouldn't mean re-keying the same catalog into ten terminals. Change it once; every site catches up.
